Composers, much like other artists, feel a strong urge to create. Some composers find inspiration in nature, while others write in response to historical events, places, and experiences with different cultures. Capital Wind Symphony’s November concert, “Inspirations,” allows listeners to explore the world through the unique compositional voices of Carlos Simon, Oscar Navarro, Percy Grainger, Julie Giroux, Darius Milhaud, and Henry Dorn.
